SHIPPING INFO
Our Kenya Samburu AA is from the rich volcanic soils surrounding the Samburu area in Kenya's Central Province. Smallholder cooperative farmers in the area grow SL-28 and SL-34 varieties coffee.
Harvest runs from November to December and cherries are delivered to the wet mill the same day they’re picked. After pulping and washing with fresh river water, the beans are dried in the sun on raised beds before being delivered to a dry mill.
All of Kenya's coffees are graded primarily by screen size (a measure of the size of the bean, with larger being more prized) immediately after milling. AA is the top grade based on screening.
